Our StoryThe story of the Port Stephens Wedding Collective begins with a simple but powerful belief that when passionate people work together, extraordinary things happen.

Port Stephens truly has something special to offer - stunning natural landscapes, a diverse selection of wedding venues and local expertise.
What was missing was the connection between vendors working together to promote Port Stephens as a premier wedding destination. Port Stephens has an untapped potential to become the next wedding hub as much as the Hunter Valley, South Coast and the Southern Highlands.
“By bringing local wedding vendors together, who share the same spirit, we can put Port Stephens on the map as a thriving wedding region. We are about collaboration over competition and knowledge shared openly to elevate each other’s business and to showcase our paradise,” said Florent of Florent Vidal Photography.
This vision is the driving force behind the creation of Port Stephens Wedding Collective, a not-for-profit organisation of local wedding vendors, united by a shared goal to showcase the best of Port Stephens’ wedding industry and the region itself. Weddings in Port Stephens support not only the wedding industry but the region’s economy. With 50 to 100 or more guests staying for several days, and that is often outside of the holiday peak season, weddings provide year-round business for accommodations, cafes and local services.
The collective was formally founded in September last year, and its current board members include Dee Hall and Glenn Short (The Oasis One Mile Beach and Tanilba House), Alecia Jeston (The Barn Port Stephens Hinterland), Barbara Symons (Heaven Gardens), Jasmin Court (Stanley Park) and Florent Vidal and Angel Vidal (Florent Vidal Photography).
It has quickly evolved into a growing network of venues, celebrants, transport, photographers, florists, and creatives. The collective currently has 22 members and growing. It features an online Port Stephens Wedding Directory, and wedding events are in development.
“Despite our huge variety of incredible venues and wedding vendors, Port Stephens is not a well-known wedding destination. We aim to change that! We all believe it has so much to offer, and we want to bring more couples and guests into our beautiful home.” Dee and Glenn said.
Barbara and Alecia added, “With such a diverse geography, from the shore to the hinterland, we felt this was a great way to bring the industry together, to share our experience with couples and offer complete event solutions.”
As the region continues to grow as a sought-after wedding destination, Port Stephens Wedding Collective stands as a reflection of what happens when community, creativity, and shared purpose align.
